PJ Realm

A small game studio making games for fun — for families, and for players of all ages.

What we do

We make games to be enjoyed — by a seven-year-old on a rainy afternoon, by a family passing the controller around, and by a grown adult who meant to stop an hour ago. The aim doesn't change from one title to the next: the best content we can put in front of players.

We build our own games, and we publish and distribute games made by others. Easy to pick up, with room to grow into — we treat the whole range, from first-timer to expert, as one craft rather than two markets.

Where a game asks you to figure something out, one rule applies: we prove it can be figured out before it ships. Every game is played through by people before release, checking that each puzzle is fair, that it has a real answer, and that the thing you're meant to notice can actually be noticed at the size it's drawn. The difficulty comes from the design, never from a mistake nobody caught.

How we work

Every game is different — what it costs, how it's structured and what it needs is on its own store page. What doesn't change is how we go about it.

Double Take

Double Take Coming soon to Steam

Two pictures, almost identical. One has been quietly changed. Double Take is the classic spot-the-difference game, built to lose an hour in: fifty hand-crafted scenes in five collections (Around the House, Wonders of the World, Shipping Lanes, Trains to Anywhere and Animals), plus a two-scene Warm-Up, every one open from the start. Each scene hides a pool of about twenty differences, and every round deals you ten of them, so the next visit is a fresh hunt.

Three modes: Timed, Time Attack, and Zen, with no clock and no pressure. Three difficulties, a Daily Challenge that's the same board for everyone and needs no internet, and 24 Steam Achievements. Kids spot the big changes first; grown-ups hunt down the sneaky ones; everybody argues about the last one.

Single player · Mouse, keyboard or controller · Steam Cloud saves · Buy it once: no ads, no microtransactions, no internet connection needed

Vignette

Every picture starts buried under a sheet of dark. Push a line out into it, steer it home, and everything you enclose bursts into view. Twenty pictures, three levels each (a watercolor Smudge, a graphite Shade and a full-color Warden), make 60 levels and 180 stars. Clear a level and the finished picture is yours to keep as a wallpaper.

Six kinds of creature in the dark, each moving its own way, fifteen elements that each change the rules, and 27 kinds of Warden guarding the pictures. Earn 256 signet marks, fill a Codex of 91 creatures, and chase 45 Steam Achievements, or play Zen mode, with no threats, no lives and no timer.

Countermeasure

Countermeasure Coming soon to Steam

Warheads are falling on your city. Six cities, three batteries, and a sky full of trouble: read the arcs, fire where they will be, and turn one interceptor into a chain reaction that clears the sky. It's the arcade classic rebuilt for now, with a roguelite deck of 95 upgrade cards that stack to level IV and evolve in 10 ways.

A campaign of 24 missions across 4 fronts, up to three stars a mission; an Endless mode with a high-score table; 10 kinds of threat, from decoys and bombers to the Orbital Lance; and 30 Steam Achievements. Then defend it together in online co-op, or race a friend to the end in online versus.

Single player and 2-player online co-op and versus · Mouse and keyboard, or a gamepad · Solo play needs no internet connection; online play does · No in-app purchases
